My passion for advocacy didn't begin with a business idea—it began when I became my mother's full-time caregiver. Something I fully did not understand the sacrifice that comes with it. Throughout this journey, I witnessed how overwhelming healthcare, caregiving, and life's unexpected transitions can be for families. I've seen the uncertainty that comes with difficult diagnoses, hospitalizations, care decisions, and navigating complex systems that often leave people feeling confused and unheard.

Those experiences ignited a passion within me to become an advocate—someone who walks alongside families with compassion, practical guidance, and unwavering support.

Professionally, my background in legal services, administration, and business operations has equipped me with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. I've learned how to navigate complex processes, manage important details, and help people move forward with clarity and confidence. Today, I bring those skills into family advocacy, helping individuals and caregivers organize information, prepare for important conversations, understand available resources, and confidently advocate for themselves and their loved ones.

But my work is about more than helping families solve problems.

It is about restoring confidence during seasons of uncertainty. It is about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported. It is about ensuring families know they don't have to face difficult journeys by themselves.

As a woman of faith, I believe compassion is more than an emotion—it is a calling. My faith has shaped my commitment to serve others with integrity, humility, wisdom, and excellence. While Dorothy.io serves families from all backgrounds and beliefs, the values that guide my work are deeply rooted in biblical principles of love, dignity, justice, stewardship, and servant leadership.

That vision led me to create Dorothy.io, an organization dedicated to empowering families through compassionate advocacy, education, and innovation.

Through Kanect Care™, our Family Advocacy Services division, I have the privilege of walking alongside families as they navigate healthcare experiences, care transitions, caregiving responsibilities, and educational advocacy. I also developed the Compassionate Care Kingdom™ Framework, a proprietary model that integrates professional best practices with timeless principles of compassionate care to equip families, professionals, and organizations alike.
